Friends of the Fair - Coming soon

"Friends of the Fair" is the California Mid-State Fair's volunteer organization. Established in 1995, the Friends of the Fair is a group of community members that range in age from 5-95 and volunteer in many different places prior, during and after the Fair.

Junior Fair Board - Coming soon

The California Mid-State Fair Junior Fair Board consists of young people between 16 and 24 years of age living in San Luis Obispo County who are looking to volunteer their time to a community event. Members assist with the day-to-day operations of the annual Fair, including events such as assisting in livestock and equestrian support, pageant set up, public judging, market research and any other duties/committees as assigned by Fair Staff, management, or Fair Board. In addition, members help in the livestock area during weigh in and auction day, act as ushers in the Main Grandstand, and scan tickets.

Applicants must be residents of San Luis Obispo County and between the ages of 16-24 to be eligible for consideration. Members can serve until their 25th birthday. The California Mid-State Fair Junior Fairboard is a volunteer position that serves at the direction of the Board of Director’s Junior Fairboard Committee.
