PASO ROBLES (CA) – The Paso Robles Event center is pleased to announce a three-year partnership with the National Reined Cow Horse Association (NRCHA). The Paso Robles Event Center will be the home of the NRCHA Derby 2018 through 2020 during the month of June.
At the NRCHA Derby, four and five-year-old horses will compete in three events: herd work, rein work and cow work. The Derby features nine divisions, ranging from entry-level competitors in the Amateur division to highly-experienced riders in the Open division.
Michael H. Bradley, CEO of the California Mid-State Fair, said, “We are extremely pleased to continue our work with the NRCHA and their world class event. So many good people work so very hard to put on the Derby each year. To be chosen as their venue partner is an extreme privilege.”
“We are looking forward to our continued partnership with the Paso Robles Event Center and hosting the Derby in Paso Robles for the next three years,” said Jay Winborn, NRCHA Executive Director.
In addition, nationally recognized equestrian Sandy Collier has been secured as the Paso Robles Event Center Equestrian Ambassador and Strategic Show Liaison. Collier is the point person for the Event Center for all equestrian events/shows and works closely with all organizations in maximizing participation, venue promotion, customer service, and public attendance.
“We are thrilled with the continued improvements at the Paso Robles Event Center, including the addition of the 100,000 square foot Paso Robles Pavilion, more than 200 new stalls and 75 RV hook up spaces. The Paso Robles Event Center is a star attraction in the world of equestrian facilities in the western United States,” said Collier.
