Ham Bone Express Pig Races
And they're off! Pigs will be racing for the finish line at the California Mid-State Fair. Fans cheer for their favorite contestants as they charge out of the gates. What do the pigs race for? A tastey treat of course!

2009 Golf Classic
Please join us for the 12th annual 4-H & FFA Golf Classic presented by Slime, Weyrick Lumber and Albertsons. Net proceeds from the event will go toward scholarships for our local 4-H & FFA livestock exhibitors. Entry fee of $150 per person includes green fee, cart fee, warm-up bucket of balls, gift bag, official tournament hat, breakfast, plus snacks and beverages. Tournament check-in and warm-up begins at 7:00a with a shotgun start at 8:00a. The format is a 4-person scramble. Non-metal spikes are required. Golf Classic Registration.pdf

Cattle Drive
Grab a camera and a chair and head to Riverside Avenue on the morning of Wednesday, July 22, as the annual cattle drive will make its way through the streets of Paso Robles and into the fairgrounds to kick-off the 2009 Fair. About fifty head of cattle will be driven along the streets with the cattle scheduled to arrive at the fairgrounds between 11:00a and 11:30a. |

Home Arts Exhibits
The California Mid-State Fair invites you to visit the Home Arts Building for a wide variety of demonstrations and hands-on exhibits. From sewing and quilting demonstrations to cake decorating for kids, there is something for the entire family to enjoy! Horse Show Events
The California Mid-State Fair hosts a wide array of some of the most competitive horse shows in California. Junior Livestock Events
The Toyota Junior Livestock area is action packed throughout the Fair providing a great opportunity to see everything from poultry and rabbits to hogs and heifers. This year, over 900 exhibitors will be showing over 1000 animals! The California Mid-State Fair boasts one of the most competitive junior livestock shows in the state as well as being home to junior exhibitors who show their animals on a national level. In addition to the livestock shows, the Toyota Junior Livestock area features Cattlemen and Farmer’s Day, the Industrial Arts Project Auction, Ladies and Lads Lead, and the Livestock Judging Contest. Junior Livestock Support Club
Established in 1975, the Junior Livestock Support Club was created for the purpose of bringing ranchers together who are interested in guaranteeing every single exhibitor a small profit for their livestock.
